one moon farm
We began our adventures with goats in 2010 because of the Italian fig tree in our little urban garden. Milo, who has a passion for beautiful food, wanted to make chèvre to enjoy with the figs each summer, but fresh goats' milk is hard to find. She said, "Jeff, wouldn't it be easier if we just started our own herd?" Thus our farm went from daydream to reality, and I, their daughter, was lucky enough to be raised in a tradition of producing and appreciating sustainable food.
dairy
Pictured above is our very first doe, Zofi. We breed and milk between two and four does each year; meet them on our Dairy page.
You can reserve a doe kid or inquire about milkers for sale by contacting us at onemoonfarm@gmail.com.
market
This is Una's first 4H project, a dairy market goat named Henri. We sell dairy market projects to youth; email us at onemoonfarm@gmail.com.
We also raise wethers for sale at peak weight. See our Market page for pricing if you're interested in having a goat raised for your personal consumption.
Below you will find a documentary featuring our farm in its young years. Cleveland-based filmmaker Brad Masi explores the local food systems of Oberlin; check it out if you're passionate about the sustainability, ethics, and community that good nourishment necessitates.
